Video: Gimes - archaikus ima - "Én felkeltem..."

Borbála ma is használja ezt a régi imádságot, amelyet még öreganyjától tanult (Fintháné Borbély Borbála szül. 1893-ban Gímesen), és az örökölt kiejtés szerint is adja elő.
Az ima szövege a kiejtés jelölése nélkül:

"Én felkeltem én ágyamból
Mint Úrjézus koporsóból
Jöjj el Lélek készen várlak
Veled együtt elmegyek
Menj el Sátán ne kísérgess (kisérts meg?)
Mert nekem fejem akiben szólott szállott

Megszenteli én lelkemet"


Az ima szövegében előforduló "Jöjj el Lélek készen várlak" szöveg igen érdekes, mert utalhat arra az egykori népi hiedelemre, hogy létezett szabad lélek, mely éjszakára elalváskor elhagyta a testet, s reggel visszatért. A Krisztus feltámadására való utalás is ezt erősíti.

275 Gimes "I Arose from My Bed" Ancient Morning Prayer

Borbala still (to this day) uses this ancient adoration/prayer, which she had learned from her grandmother (Borbala Borbely Finthane, born: 1893 in Gimes), and demonstrates it according to her inherited dialect. The prayer's text (without dialect notation) follows:

"I arose from my bed like the Lord Jesus from his tomb.
Come, Spirit, I readily await you; with you together I shall go.
Be gone, Satan, do not accompany me (are you still here?)...
Because my head in which the Spirit has landed blesses my soul."

Within the prayer's text, "Come, Spirit, I readily await you..." is particularly interesting, as it points to a once faithful (folk) belief in the existence of a free spirit that, by nightfall during sleep, left the body and in the morning returned. This also reinforces the concept of Christ's ascension from the dead (at the beginning of the prayer).

During this prayer four generation were present.

Világoddal meglátogass, őrizz, vezérelj támogass Ámen"

„Ajánlom az én imádságom a Krisztus Jézuskám keserves kínszenvedéseiért,
Öt mélységes sebeiért, hogy érettünk szenvedtél, magas keresztfán megváltottál,
Légy írgalmas, légy kegyelmes, minden bűnös fiaidnak, leányaidnak, Nekünk halálunk óráján, Ámen"

„Szól a kakas éjféltájba, kurjantja Máriát
Mária kelj fel, Szent fiad megfogták,
Keresztfához szögezték
Tíz csepp vére lecseppent Szent angyalok felszedték
Szent városba bevitték Mária elejbe tették
Mária azt mondta, aki ezt az imádságot reggel és este elimádkozza
Annak hét halálos bűne megbocsájttatik Ámen"

We had stopped Ms. Ilona on the street, asking her to tell us a few ancient prayers. The prayers' texts (without dialect notation) follow: (unfortunately word-by word translation cannot picture these prayers high artistic value and its ancient phrases):

"God's true Saint Angel ! Take me under your almighty protection from the Lord's mercy. I have trusted from my mother's womb; Visit us with your Kingdom, protect us, guide us, support us, Amen."

"I offer my adoration for Christ, my sweet (little) Jesus,' bitter sufferings, for His five deep wounds, that You suffered for us, transformed us on a high cross,
Grant your blessing and mercy to all Your sinful sons and daughters in the hour of our death, Amen."

"The rooster beckons at around midnight, crows to Mary,
'Mary, rise !. They've captured your Saintly Son, nailed Him to a crucifix; Ten drops of His blood fell; Saint Angels gathered it; Took it to the Saintly town placing it before Mary. Mary said, 'Those who pray this adoration every morning and evening, will be forgiven seven mortal sins, Amen.'"
